Largely unknown in the golfing world, Team 98 tapped Brian Wilsey to join the squad in 2014 after the retirement of seven year veteran Winston Black. A lifelong Team 97 fan, Wilsey had long lobbied for a spot on his favorite team, even as caddy or team manager intern. So when the fateful call from Team 98 Captain Dave Johnson came, offering Wilsey a contract with the team, it was with mixed emotions that Wilsey signed on and accepted.
Wilsey lives in San Francisco, CA, at trains at the famed Olympic Club. He works with popular PGA swing coach and CBS golf analyst Peter Kostis whom he hired after becoming impressed with Kostis’ Konica Minolta SwingVision analysis of his swing on a CBS broadcast.
