Nicknamed the “Silent Assassin,” Andrew Parker has been the steady force in Team 97’s success over the years. Growing up at the world famous Oak Hill in Rochester, NY, Parker was able to get a close glimpse into the games of the top golfers in the world when Oak Hill hosted U.S. Opens and Ryder Cups. And while Parker was a renowned Northeast prep soccer star in his younger days, it was those indelible experiences at Oak Hill that eventually led him to leave soccer behind and pursue golf as his athletic career.
Through 2012, Parker had achieved the most Phi Alpha Cup victories of any player (19), and was the only Phi Alpha Cup participant to never lose a Singles Match (8-0, all against Stirling Bomar). After moving to Europe for two years to round out his links course game, Parker moved back to the States in 2013. He now resides in Durham, NC, with his wife, two children, and two Golden doodles, Birdie and Bogey.
